BEHIND AMALENGUA

Meet Smaragda

Hi, I'm Smaragda Avgeri - the voice and soul behind Amalengua Translation Studio.

Born and raised in Greece, now living in Buenos Aires. It was love that brought me to the southern tip of South America - and it was love, too, that made me follow my heart and create this studio after finishing my translation studies.

But my path here wasn't straight. Earlier on, I got my Bachelor's and Master's in Political Science and worked across different fields - from family business to corporate settings. Through it all, one thing stayed constant: my love for cultures and diversity.

I'm a cinephile, an avid reader, a traveller at heart. To me, language is a living organism - constantly transforming, adapting, evolving. That's what fascinates me most about translation. It's never just words on a page. It's connection.

So whether it's a novel, a medical report, or a tourism brochure - if it matters to you, it matters to me. I'd love to hear what you're working on.
